Jailed Canadian Trucker James Sowery Speaks Out After Release on Pending Bail Appeal

Sowery was sentenced to 10 months in prison last month for having run over a pylon with his truck at an RCMP checkpoint, leaving an officer in tears, traumatized.

Supporters believe Sowery was targeted by the RCMP for having brought firewood to the anti-Covid mandate protesters blocking the Canada-U.S. border in Coutts, Alberta 2 years ago.

Sowery maintains that he’s innocent and that he will appeal the sentence. I asked him about the prison conditions he had to endure.
